How this diagnostic works

Methodology: questions are written in-house to mirror official GRE format and difficulty, then reviewed against ETS's public scoring guides. Eight topics are scored separately — four Quant (Arithmetic, Algebra, Geometry, Data Analysis) and four Verbal (Text Completion, Sentence Equivalence, Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary in Context) — so the result tells you not just how you did, but where to spend your practice time. This diagnostic complements ETS's own free POWERPREP tests — it isn't a replacement for one, since POWERPREP uses real retired GRE questions and this doesn't.

The score range at the end (e.g. 305-317) is a rough estimate based on how many of the 16 questions you got right, not an official GRE score prediction — a full-length timed test inside the app, which tracks performance across 100+ tests, gives a far more reliable number.

Is this diagnostic an accurate GRE score predictor?
It gives a rough, directional range based on 16 questions — useful for knowing roughly where you stand and which topics need work, but not precise enough to treat as your real score. ETS's own free POWERPREP tests, which use real retired questions, are the most accurate free option; a full-length timed test in the nerzia app is the most accurate ongoing predictor.
How long does the GRE diagnostic test take?
